Facebook went to four different cities and talked to a bunch of local business owners about what makes their city unique, how their business contributes, and how they use Facebook tools to grow.

San Diego, California

San Diego tops every list of most dog friendly cities in America, so we made a film that honors some of the local businesses that help keep it there.

For the activation, we invited dog-focused local businesses to our “new age” doggie wellness retreat, appropriately named “Pawmaste.” We featured dog yoga sessions, dog meditation classes, pet aura readers, and other dog loving shops.

Nashville, Tennessee

Go figure, a lot of business owners in Music City are also talented musicians. This film is all about them.

For the activation, we built a stage at a local bike shop and invited a musically-inclined realtor, lawyer, and baker to put on a show. Every business owner-slash-musician got the full rock-star treatment, complete with concert posters, custom t-shirts, and a ton of swag.

Sacramento, California

This film is about “The City of Trees,” and the tree-themed small businesses that are rooted there.

For the activation, we built a treehouse market that hosted nature-themed businesses and all of their nature-themed knick knacks. We invited some tea shops, nature-inspired jewelry makers, wood carvers, and more.

Columbus, Ohio

Columbus, Ohio is the biggest small town in America, and in true small-town charm, they host some pretty rad parades all year long.

For the activation, we created the first ever shopable parade, where parade-goers could purchase local goods and services directly from business themed floats. These included a local bookshop, an aquarium store, a baseball bat maker, a barber, and many others.
